She Takes on the World
eThreads founder Emily Worden is humbled to be mentioned as a “Rising Star to Watch in 2009” by SheTakesOnTheWorld.com, a “lifestyle and business blog for ambitious women around the world.” Thank you to Natalie MacNeil, founder of STONW, this is quite an honor!
Elemental Threads on 10Marifet.org
Elemental Threads just got a mention at 10Marifet.org, a Turkish crafts bazaar! The site is similar to Etsy, where people buy and sell homemade goods. We don’t speak Turkish, but thanks to an online translator we understand some key phrases: “Everyone is a designer with Elemental Threads’ site … women can shop all over the world … there are more than 8 models and 60,000 design options on the site …” If anyone out there knows Turkish and can help translate, please let us know!
Thank you 10Marifet.org for the writeup!
Elemental Threads on FrizziFrizzi.it
We were just mentioned on the Italian site FrizziFrizzi.it. The online magazine reports daily doses of pop culture, products, interviews, new artist, food, wine and much more. It is a nice writeup:
“Customize your accessories with Elemental Threads. Slowly everything is moving towards the possibility of customizing cars, electronic gadgets, clothing and of course accessories. Elemental Threads epitomizes this trend with its range of bags and handbags that is a blank canvas just waiting for the client to choose how to transform it.”
Thank you FrizziFrizzi.it for the mention!
eThreads in Ponoko.com
We are excited to be mentioned by Ponoko.com! This site is really cool because you can make prints, models and 3D cutouts with a variety of materials including wood, plastic, felt and metal! Enough to make your creativity run wild. They seem to like eThreads too:
An interesting mix of mass customization and bespoke fashion accessory design is available through Emily at Elemental Threads …

Thank you Ponoko! We love your stuff too!
eThreads a Best Bet in New York Magazine
… in the Best Bets section of the May 12th issue.
“Nothing’s worse than walking into a party and seeing your bag—your favorite new bag—on the arm of another girl. We’ve all been there and tossed said bag to the back of the closet. Rather than buying off the rack, design your own through Elemental Threads. This Website offers various makeup pouches, clutches, and totes big and small. Just select the cotton or canvas fabric—there are 66 available prints, from polka dots to stripes to floral—and choose between gold or silver hardware. Because avoiding a fashion faux pas is priceless.”

eThreads on Springwise.com
“In case there was any doubt the do-it-yourself design trend is here to stay, a new site for designing your own handbags has now joined the ones we’ve already written about for creating custom dresses, duvets and lingerie (to name just a few)…”

Elemental Threads on HighSnobette.com
We just got a fun little mention on HighSnobette.com. The site is a women’s lifestyle magazine devoted to outside-the-box fashion, art and lifestyle trends.
“If you’ve got this vision for a bag design that you just can’t seem to find anywhere, stop your hunting. At Elemental Threads you can choose from 8 blank bodies on which you can create your own designs. So if unicorns leaping over pink and orange butterflies has always been your dream design….get to it, lady!”
Elemental Threads in Camionetica.com
We are happy to get a mention on the fun site Camionetica.com. The site highlights interesting products in design and art. We don’t speak Spanish, but thanks for an online translator we understand most of the post:
“This bag is mine, mine, mine. Women are always worried about … if the shoes and belt match the bag … Well here we leave a page where the girls can design their own bag, choose between some models, then select the fabric, and you are ready.”
Thank you Camionetica.com for the mention!

“Kate Spade ain’t got nothing on us. With Elemental Threads’ line of customizable purses, day clutches, and totes, we are the master of our own design destiny. Choose between dozens of patterns, from paisleys to Geisha girls, to cover your bag. You can even choose from linings, handles, etc., right on down to the type of fastening button. Maybe it’s because the concept of these do-it-yourself designer items is, well, DIY that keeps the cost down. Either way, we already feel like Louis Vuitton’s successor.”
