We are proud to announce that eThreads.com was mentioned in Accessories Magazine! I have been reading this magazine for years, it’s an important industry source for all things accessories. I interviewed with them a few weeks ago, it was a lot of fun. Thank you Jeff and Accessories Mag for the opportunity!
Design-It-Yourself Handbag Website Gets Personal with Clients
“Although she and her team have made thousands of handbags over the years, Emily Worden has never made the same handbag twice…”
We are thrilled to be included in ShopSmart Magazine. The publication is Consumer Reports’ Quick and Easy Shopping Guide and highlights great, reliable buys. The magazine secretly ordered a bag from Elemental Threads, reviewed their experience, then told us we were going to be in the magazine! I remember the bag they designed because I had not seen the combination before.
“Elemental Threads – Design: Handbags – How it works: Choose your bag’s style, fabric, lining and hardware. We did the one below in rich fabric (brown and green bulb waves, from the speciality menu), with a brown and teal cotton topper and nickel hardware. Another cool option: Send in a fave t-shirt, and they’ll turn it into a bag.”
Thank you ShopSmart for the writeup!
I met the lovely Althea Blackford at a show in downtown Boston last year. She is very involved in the fashion Boston scene and also produces a fashion show called Style It Up. She generously asked eThreads to stop by and talk about our custom-made bags, and we were happy to oblige! The episode aired on local Boston networks, and you can watch the full segment here.
Thank you to Althea and the entire Style It Up crew … it was awesome to watch you guys work!
Exciting news to pass along today … our small little business got a great big write up from one hip website! I have been a long-time reader of the fabulous site Pink is the New Blog … if you like gossip, entertainment news, and honest reviews written with a fun twist, you will love reading Trent Vanegas’ blog. I approached Trent a few months back to make a bag for his friend Emma, who just got engaged. Emma designed her bag with her fiancé Josh and here’s what she thought of it:
“We got my bag and LOVE it! Thank you so much. Truly. It was really exciting to see our design come to life, and I have used it a lot in the last two days. I’ve gotten at least five compliments on it from people too. Cool, huh?”
As if that wasn’t fun enough, Trent went one step further and wrote about our adventure on PITNB! It is so exciting to be a part of his fantastic site, and Trent could not be any cooler. Click here to read the full post and see some fun reader comments. Then stick around and read more of Pink is the New Blog, I am sure you will love it!
We were approached by the fabulous ladies at Real Moms Real Views to participate in a review and giveaway. RMRV is a review/giveaway site that focuses on great products for moms and their kids. We were happy to partner with them and today the review is up!
“… I love it because the fabric is sturdy, the lining is beautiful, and the hardware is stable. This screams quality! Plus I loved picking out what I wanted. I have to admit though, that was tough. There are sooo many cute fabrics and combinations to pick from …”

We were approached by Macaroni Kid Hunterdon to participate in a review and giveaway. Macaroni Kid is a national newsletter and website identifying all the great things parents and kids can do together. Our New Jersey friends thought eThreads would be great for their readers and we are happy to announce the review is up right now!
“… You can preview all the selections before you purchase and the possibilities are virtually endless. It makes you want to design several sizes! I liked how my wristlet looked online, but when it arrived (very quickly, I might add!) I was really pleased with it. It was so fun! The material and design is durable and high quality…”

We have been a fan of Handbago for some time now and it’s an honor to be mentioned on their blog. Handbago is THE site for handbag lovers. They have editor’s picks, reviews, giveaways, designer profiles and so many more ways to connect, browse and find your perfect handbag. We created a bag for Handbago’s review and it was a hit!
Elemental Threads is not your ordinary handbag brand. It’s actually a company that makes custom handbags and pouches … The idea of designing your own bag or pouch is fabulous! Although it can be overwhelming if you don’t know what you want, designing your own bag is a great way to own a bag that completely represents you!

Thank you Lani, Jessica and the whole Handbago team!
